This is a good base camp for visiting Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. The
workers were very friendly and accommodating. Full hookup gravel sites with 50
amp, picnic table, grass, pool, hot tub. Quiet, lots of happy family campers.

Wind Caves National Park
Deadwood

Deadwood is a famed Black Hills mining and gambling town - the town where Wild
Bill Hickok was shot in the back. The entire town is designated a National
Historic District. Deadwood offers cheap and ample RV parking.

Mitchell Lake Campground
This city-operated campground is on a beautiful lake. Very quiet, tree-filled
and the prices are fabulous. Full-hookups.

Cabela's - Selling anything you could possibly need to hike, fish, hunt,
etc. - with great RV parking, a kennel for your dog, a corral for your horse and
a restaurant if you are hungry.
Mobridge
In the area:

Sitting Bull Gravesite. The possible final resting place (he has been moved,
and may be moved again) of Sitting Bull, 1831-1890. His grave looks out over a
vast valley across the Mighty Missouri River. A beautiful place. Plenty room for
a big rig towing a car in the parking area- easy turn-around too.

1910, with a variety of material including native field stone, Indiana
limestone, and Vermont and Italian marble.

Nearby Restaurants:

The A&M Cafe - in Interior, SD - serves up tasty Indian Tacos. The A & M is on
the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It was on this reservation where the Massacre
at Wounded Knee occurred.
