Charleston

RV Parks:
James Island County Park
Fabulous campground and a good base for a visit to Charleston. Level 30/50 amp back-in and pull-though, full-hookup sites. No cable, good cell service, dog friendly, picnic tables, newspaper box and very quiet.  The campground is barely outside of town, yet has a country-like setting. James Island County Park is nearly 1,000 acres, with a lake and miles and miles of jogging/bike paths and huge live oaks, dripping with moss. Very pretty and very southern. Just stay here!

Hilton Head Island

RV Parks:
Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort
Very tropical and lush. Pool, hot tub, tennis, fishing lake, private and quiet sites. Full hook-ups. Motorcoaches only. An easy drive for a day in Savannah, Georgia too.

Myrtle Beach

RV Parks:
Ocean Lakes
Ocean Lakes has everything, so I should have given it a higher rating, but it was just kinda dumpy. Many live-in's and park models. They actually have 3,335 sites! It is so large; they have their own post office and zip code! They have check-in lines like a ride in Disneyland. You can rent golf carts to get around. We were camped next to the beach - in sand - and we can see the water from our windows. All the usual life-lines, including cable and telephone. They have good water pressure and daily garbage pick-up at your site.

A million golf courses and a half-million miniature golf courses.
