Ashville Bear Creek RV Park & Campground
Bear Creek is a very popular campground, with good reason. It is very well maintained and is close to the freeway/highway with easy access, but you have no traffic noise.  Also close to the Biltmore Estate. All the usual hook-ups with cable, patios, picnic tables. They also have a pool and a newspaper box.

Don't miss the Biltmore Estate - the largest home in America. Read our postcard from the Biltmore Estate

Ashville is also a good starting point for the Blue Ridge Parkway. Read our postcard from a foggy Blue Ridge Parkway... or what we assume was the Blue Ridge Parkway

Waves/Outer Banks

Cape Hatteras RV Park
We used this fabulous campground as a base camp for our visit to the Outer Banks. Cape Hatteras RV Park is very nice and covers both sides of the island - you can camp on the Atlantic, or across the street, on the sound. No kidding - the island is THAT narrow. Dolphins swim in the sound." Since we were here, they have added Wi-Fi. The only thing missing is water pressure, but I am just being picky. Very peaceful. They charge a small fee for dogs.
