Boston (area)

RV Parks:
Beach Rose RV Park (Salisbury Beach)
This is the closest RV campground we could find to Boston - and it is dang-near in New Hampshire. It is a very nice park, but it does not allow dogs. Paved back-in's with 50 amp and full-hook-ups, patio, picnic tables, cable, bad cell service and a lousy pool. The park is perfectly maintained and in perfect order and the owners were very nice.

In the area:
A drive along the shore to see the mansions on Rye Beach is always fun.

Restaurants:
Just down the street from the RV park is The Hungry Traveler Restaurant. The parking lot was always packed, so we stopped in and had a good dinner one evening.  Huge portions, and they have Delmonico Potatoes on the menu.

Eastham (Cape Cod)

RV Parks:
Atlantic Oaks
Quiet, wooded RV park on Cape Cod. Long pull-through gravel sites with picnic tables. Many trees, but some sites in the back will give you enough clearance for satellite/datastorm connection. Cable TV.

In the area:
Nantucket-style house
We took the high-speed ferry to Nantucket and spent the day walking around the island and went on an island bus tour. Provincetown, at the end of the cape has interesting shops, restaurants and colorful characters. | Read our postcard

Restaurants:
Most restaurants serve lobster, salted cod cakes, and clam chowder - the local specialties. We had a wonderful evening and a perfect meal at the Nauset Beach Club (sounds like a fish & chip joint, but it is most definitely a very posh Italian restaurant).
