RV Parks: After driving all day and not being able to find a place to camp, we found ourselves at the Isle of Capri Casino where they let us stay for free in their parking lot... under a bridge. Read our sad tale.
Also see: Avery Island, above. RV Parks: KOC Kampground - Just a basic campground. Friendly owners, many long-time live-ins. Convenient for a visit to Avery Island. Restaurants: Clementine's - in pretty downtown New Iberia. We had a good meal here with good service. Pasta, fresh fish and steaks.
Konriko Rice/Conrad Mills 307 Ann Street New Iberia, Louisiana, 70560 America's oldest rice mill. Take a tour (small fee) and shop in their company store. Normal hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time.
RV Parks: Jude Travel Park There were not many good choices for RV parks in New Orleans. We decided and have definitely stayed at worse places. They are friendly and have all the hookups. Four miles from town. In the area: St. Charles Street Garden District French Quarter
