Lake Havasu

The London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona
The London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona

Lake Havasu City resident, Mr. McCulloch (of chainsaw fame) needed a bridge to get to the island (where we are camped) in Lake Havasu, so he bought the London Bridge. He had the bridge dismantled, shipped across the Atlantic and re-constructed here. The bridge opened in October 1971. I learned today McCulloch thought he was buying the Tower Bridge and was a bit disappointed when this bridge showed-up. OOPS! He spent seven millions dollars to do this? It is one of the silliest things I have ever witnessed.

RV Parks:
Beachcomber
Full hook-up sites, back-ins and pull-throughs. Bathhouse, laundry and clubhouse, boat launch, horseshoes, wifi, private beach. Like most of the parks in Lake Havasu, The Beachcomber has many park models.

Islander RV Resort (we prefer this RV park)
Full service RV resort with all the amenities. The Islander is huge and right on the water. Many park models. Try to request a front-in site on the lake. Pool, hot tub, lake, marina and boat launch.
