Lake Havasu

The London Bridge in Lake Havasu, Arizona
Lake Havasu City
resident, Mr. McCulloch (of chainsaw fame) needed a bridge to get to the
island (where we are camped) in Lake Havasu, so he bought the London
Bridge. He had the bridge dismantled, shipped across the Atlantic and
re-constructed here. The bridge opened in October 1971. I learned today
McCulloch thought
he was buying the Tower Bridge and was a bit disappointed when this bridge
showed-up. OOPS! He spent seven millions dollars to do this? It is one
of the silliest things I have ever witnessed.
