Casa Grande

Casa Grande Ruins
Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, (Great House), pictured above, was built by the Hohokam people around AD 1300. It was four-stories tall and
is now topped by a protective cover to stop further deterioration. The
Hohokam were hunter-gathers, and built an extensive network
of irrigation canals from the Gila River to many settlements in the area,
controlling the water in the valley. Incredible! There was a large city
surrounding this ruin, with many houses and communal buildings, including a
ball court.

Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort is a 55+ park. If they
are not full, and you are not quite 55 and are
traveling without the kids, they may let you stay
for a few days. Huge park, with many park models and
tons of seasonal guests. Many activities and a very
nice Par-3 course that is incredibly green year-round. If you have a
pet, you can only stay in a certain area of the
park.
