Crystal & Brent
Indio, California: Another warm day in the
Coachella Valley. The sky was filled with clouds most of the day, but the
temperatures were still in the low 70's... which I am guessing is probably
higher than the temperatures from where you are reading this blog. Dang, if I
don't love the Palm Springs area in January.
I wrote a few days ago that a crew was digging to China in front of our bus. The
job seems to be finished - except for the re-landscaping.

I am not an engineer. I am not a scientist. I am not a
landscaper. I am not even a biologist. My non-educated guess is this
pump thingy controls the water flow between the "waterfall" (in the
right top corner of the photo) and the pond.

According to this non-engineer, the pump failed and was
replaced with this fancy pretty blue thing.

Even if I am wrong... something was broken and has been
repaired.

Either way, the waterfall is falling and all is right in
the trailer park.
DT
and I tried a new jogging routine today. We ran around a half-mile loop
in the campground. He ran and ran. I walked the curves and ran the
near-quarter-mile straights. This is a great work-out for me. Loved it.
Just a few people were laughing.
Of course, my exercise was completely for nothing, as DT decided he
needed to have lunch at
Jake's Pizza.

New York-style pizza? Sure. Everyone has tried New York
pizza.
Chicago-style pizza? Sure. Everyone knows about Chicago-style pizza.
Minnesota-style pizza? Say what? If you can get a hamburger pizza - go
for it! We have this pizza once a year, whether we need it or not.

Have you missed the Magna Peregrinus? Here she
is, camped at the Motorcoach Country Club in Indio.

Several campers stopped by today and commiserated about
the Rose Bowl. One guy asked if we had "watched" the Rose Bowl. I told
him "we WENT to the Rose Bowl". He offered his condolences.
Interestingly enough, the RV resort is filling-up with Longhorn and
Alabama fans for the game at the Rose Bowl Thursday. The RV industry
must love college football!

Another beautiful sunset in the desert.
Tonight we invited Readers Crystal & Brent (from Dallas, Texas) for
cocktails. They are camped here at the Motorcoach Country Club and are
just the most enjoyable couple!

Dang, I'm short.
Crystal and Brent enjoyed our heated tile floors and we enjoyed their
company! So sweet and funny and kind and smart. Thank you, Dear Friends,
for stopping in tonight.
Until my next update, I remain, your humble correspondent.
