Wonder Why We Ever Go Home

Hello from our cold and rainy home outside Portland, Oregon. The weather is
simply miserable. Wasn't it only a few days ago we were camped on a bluff
over-looking the blue Pacific? Sipping on cocktails? Wearing tee shirts?
Watching the sunset?
Geography is a bitch.

Snow is predicted.
We hit the road.

Here is a photo of a typical pull-through campsite at
Seven
Feather RV Resort in Canyonville, Oregon (I-5 exit 99). Sites are 65
feet long. No need to unhitch your toad for an overnight stay! They also
have back-in sites - and don't forget about their huge luxurious indoor
heated pool, spa, fitness center, walking paths and picnic pavilion.

This is just a photo of the pretty Magna Peregrinus.
The drive north on I-5 was uneventful, but the weather grew
drearier and drearier as we approached the Portland Metro area. It was pouring
buckets... but we hadn't purchased fuel in nearly 800 miles, so we made a quick
detour to a truck stop.

Look what we found parked at the truck stop! Seems we are
not the only crazed fans. South Bay Timber loves the Ducks too.
Just to be sure, I did go investigate - the other side is not painted with
Oregon State Beaver colors, but is identical to the driver's side. Seems to me
South Bay is going to have to add "2010" to the Pac-Ten Championship list.
They are going to have to have it repainted to read Pac-Twelve as well. GO
DUCKS!
We arrived to our RV storage facility just as the skies opened.

See? I wasn't exaggerating. It certainly was not a pleasant
chore transferring our belongings from the motorhome to the Honda.
RVing isn't for wimps.

Finally, DT backed the MP into her little cave
where she will remain for one week. Then, we will do it all again for the
last home game at Autzen Stadium. November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving.
University of Arizona. Inconvenient. Probably going to be the Snow Bowl.
Wonder if LaMichael James can catch a ball while wearing mittens? Wonder if
I will be watching the game on TV inside the motorhome in the stadium parking lot
with the furnace blasting?

Because of the generosity of Gina &
Steve, we had a lovely home-grown, organic, salad
for dinner. I even used one of their Key Limes in
the salad dressing!

I tossed Gina's broccoli with a
little linguini, garlic and dried chilies and topped
it with with grated pecorino cheese. Gourmet all the
way.
Until my next update, I remain, your "we are home" correspondent.
