Borrego Springs

Borrego Springs, California: This morning we put everything away, stowed our satellite dishes and pointed the Magna Peregrinus south to Borrego Springs. The drive is just over one hour - over some terrible roads - but the destination is simply wonderful. You may recall we visited Borrego Springs in January 2007. We had such a great time, we wanted to return.

You may/may not be sad/happy to learn we had cloudy weather today and I actually had to wear a (very light) sweater! When we checked-into our campsite, I really thought it was going to rain - the skies grew dark and we could hear thunder in the distance. Fellow campers told us it was raining in San Diego... but so far, no rain. We do, however, expect rain. Know why? Because we just had our bus washed, that's why!

The RV resort, The Springs at Borrego, is a beautiful campground with two especially fabulous features: a regulation golf course and several hot tubs filled with natural hot water bubbling up from an on-site spring. (Thus, the name of the town.)

I watched (college basketball) GW lose to Maryland. (Excuse me, it was a slaughter!) Then, we watched the Ducks beat Kansas State at Mac Court. Until my next update, I remain, your Borrego Springs correspondent.

RV Park:
The Springs at Borrego. This place has it all - and it all is very, very nice. I will be posting more photos this week.
