Sneeze. Cough.
Indio, California: We had many things to do
today and an appointment with the Country Coach tech - but no one had much
sleep last night. I have that unfortunate affliction known as "motherhood",
so I worry and fret until I know Lisa's plane has landed and she back to her
home... which was at nearly one o'clock this morning. Poor DT was up and
down all night with a terrible sore throat and cold. Finally a dose of
Nyquil sent him off to a snoring slumber land... which kept me from getting
much sleep. Reese snoozed dreamily between us, completely oblivious to his
owner's travel schedule or our rustlings.

But the morning brought glorious sun and
warm weather, making everything seem brighter. The tech
showed up and set to work on DT's list of things needing
repair. After the repairs (actually more adjustment than
repair) were finished, the tech started on the list of
things we needed explained to us. There are more doodads,
switches, dials and circuits on this bus than we have in our
house - we just needed some 'splainin'.
With a fully-functioning RV (including a left turn signal
that now bleeps and blinks), I went right to work
on a pot of chicken soup for my suffering husband. I was
lazy and did not roast a chicken first as I usually do, but
instead made the
Lazy Girl (or possible RV) version of the
classic Jewish Penicillin.

The rest of the day was spent outside in the
sun, chatting with passers-by (many want to see the "O" on
the back of our bus and want a peek inside) and just as the
sun set - a golf cart trip down to the hot tub.
Here is a photo of my cheater chicken soup - with matzo
balls. Sorry, but I make the best matzo balls EVER. Perfect
Shabbat.

Tomorrow, we are loading up the Honda and driving over to
Los Angeles to return Reese to Lisa. Lisa has a terrible cold. DT has a
terrible cold. I will be driving. (That should cure DT very quickly of his
ailment.) Until my next update, from the City of Angels, I remain, your
comforting correspondent.
