Back in Indio
Indio, California:
We are back in the desert. We spent a few days with our daughter in Los
Angeles, and have brought her dog, Reese, back with us for a week or so.

Here are a few photos from her Hanukkah party Thursday night:

Dinner

Lisa made a cheese plate

Our feast: turkey, (gravy too) spinach gratin, broccoli quiche and salad
Our girl threw a great party, with six guests. Lisa also
served a pretty pomegranate liquor, topped with Prosecco. Yummy. Desserts
include candy (made by my Mom), hazelnut shortbread (made by Lisa) and
carrot cake muffins (Lisa and I baked them together).
This afternoon, DT and I headed back to Indio. Traffic was simply TERRIBLE!
We cruised the first half, but then our Honda c r a
w l e d down I-10, actually coming to a
complete stop more times than I could count. This was quite annoying,
because every time DT hit the brakes, it woke me up! The reason for this
traffic jam? Hundreds of cars were heading to the
outlet mall at
Cabazon! No kidding. A two-plus hour trip took more than three hours!

Luckily I have a new driver now!

The Grand Dawg getting comfortable in his new surroundings
I couldn't continue my nap after arriving
back to our bus - I had orders to ship and fresh fruits and
veggies to buy. Later, Reese and I went for a walk and I
made a very light, vegetarian dinner, we lit the menorah and
enjoyed a quiet evening.
Our girl has asked that I post lots of photos of Reese - so
she can see her pup everyday - I apologize in advance. Until
my next update, I remain, your resting correspondent.
