Amazingly enough...
Tucson, Arizona: Remember
a few weeks ago when our RV neighbor made his
famous pancakes for us? Well, he finally emailed the recipe, and gave me his
tips - so I made the pancakes for my family this morning. The pancakes are
completely delicious and healthy. I will post the recipe soon.

Delicious pancakes
This afternoon "the kids" let the parents rest, and drove to
downtown Tucson to walk around the Old Town district, do some shopping at
the Old Town
Artisans Gallery, and eat more tacos.

We had lunch at
La
Cocina - my brother, Rick, and his wife, Ali (and DT too)

I had two chicken soft shell tacos

DT & Rick had the same tacos... but with beans & rice

Ali had a chicken salad sandwich with cashews

La Cocina has very interesting signs throughout the restaurant

Many interesting things to see in Old Town Tucson

On our way home we visited a famous little Italian grocery
tucked away in an industrial neighborhood of South Tucson.
Roma Imports sells
imported cheeses, meats and Italian groceries and also offers prepared foods
made in their own kitchen. Frozen filled pastas, entire lasagnas, pastries,
pizza dough, breads, olives - well you think of an Italian delicacy and you
will find it at Roma Imports. This was a great find!

Italian salamis
Tonight my Mom was craving some of
my macaroni & cheese.
Well, you don't have to ask me twice. I whipped-up single serving
masterpieces.

Food for the soul
Until my next update, I remain, your Tucson correspondent.
