Final Update

We are home! We had a very unexciting drive back to the Willamette Valley. It was clear, but chilly, at the beach and near 90 degrees at home. The house is still standing and everything looks good.

We drove 5,190 miles! 55 nights - our longest trip to date. 22 campgrounds. (Most expensive: Rancho Sedona at $48. Cheapest: Castle Air Base at $15.) Probably the nicest park we stayed in was the first night in Clarkston, Washington, with honorable mention to the fancy lots-to-own "RV Resort" in Las Vegas. The junkiest was the dust bowl on Lake Shasta. We still can't decide just exactly was the most amazing and gorgeous spot on our trip. Bryce Canyon? The Sierras? Lake Tahoe? The Red Rocks of Sedona? Arches? Our own driveway? More research is obviously needed.

If you read any of my journal, thank you. Those who have emailed with comments, thank you. Even if you only like to only look at the photos - thank you.

Wait until the trip we have planned for the fall!

Until my next update, I remain, your "There's No Place Like Home" correspondent.
