Postrio at The Venetian | Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada - Today, finally was a bit quiet. I needed a quiet day after all the excitement. I drove DT and Matt to the TCP Canyons course and had the day to myself for a little shopping. Since DT had the keys to the motor home in his pocket, I was forced to shop all day. And, girls, Las Vegas is a great place to shop. The Fashion Show Mall, which is in the middle of a huge expansion, was my destination. I found a new handbag. (DT didn't scream too much as I explained I had a large black purse and a small black purse, so it was only logical that I purchase a medium black purse.)

After golf and shopping, DT and I had a little time by the pool and hot tub, and then we met Matt for dinner at Postrio in the Venetian Hotel. Postrio is one of Wolfgang Puck's restaurants - it seems to be Italian, but seriously, it was difficult to tell since he has spaghetti and wiener schnitzel on the menu. The guys each had the seafood pasta special - ravioli purses (not by Coach) stuffed with salmon, with mixed seafood (calamari, shrimp, etc.) in a lobster-tomato sauce - topped with a grilled halibut steak. I had fettuccini in a light cream sauce, tossed with mushrooms, chicken and spinach. I could not finish my meal as it was huge. It was yummy, but seriously, nothing I could not have made at home. However, my caprese was perfectly dressed.
