Back to Borrego
Borrego Springs, California: Dave and I
said said goodbye to my family and hit the road back to SoCal. Renee will remain
with Dad and Mary for a few more days.
We made only one stop along our route today and it is to the same place we
most-always stop - Cardenas - a Costco-sized Mexican grocer. We left the
Magna Peregrinus in the back of the parking lot and went inside Cardenas
for one of their juicy rotisserie chicken and a package of freshly-made
We bought a chicken, tortillas, just-made salsa & guacamole
for dinner tonight... not to mention, a huge bag of key limes, lemons,
cilantro (3 bunches for 99-cents!), bananas, green beans, lettuce,
cucumbers, radishes (3 bunches for 99-cents!), avocados (5 for $1, not a
typo), tortilla chips, fresh herbs and few other items for next to nothing.

We have a nice campsite at the
Springs at Borrego RV
Resort and Golf Course (though our car only fits side-wise on the

hot tubs, game room, fitness center, library, party room, tennis, bocce ball,
golf, on-site masseuse, yoga, Pilates, water aerobics, star-gazing, fire-side
nights, wine tastings, on and on and on.
So much to do around here, we will explore tomorrow.
SLOGGER REPORT: Travel day?
Until my next update, I remain, your Borrego Springs correspondent.
